Subhankar Chatterjee, voice Daniel Schell, tiptar Sandip Banerjee, tablaThe trio creates a new music theater project Alexandra's soul' about the great traveler-writer Alexandra David-Néel (1868-1969).The music is classical music from India, the lyrics are inspired by two classical texts worked out by Alexandra. The first is from Milarepa (10th 12th century) the yogi Buddhist poet from Tibet, and his famous poem The Hundred Thousand Songs.The second is the Vedanta text Avadhuta Gita, attributed to the legendary writer Dattatreya. A very old Sanskrit text appearing in the 10th century.On those texts the trio creates classical music and more.Subhankar Chatterjee is a great vocal musician with a culture ranging from Vedic to Khayal songs, passing by Dhrupad.
