The intimacy of the dialogue between piano and cello, sometimes whispered and sometimes in conflict, reminds us of how precious Silence is in the contemporary era. Musica dal Silenzio was born in 2024 between Naples and Catania, combining the compositional work of Damiano Davide, which includes pieces for piano and cello (NOSTOS for solo cello, published in 2023 by DaVinci Publishing), with the intense chamber music activity of Cecilia Costanzo. The project debuted at the INTERSEZIONI Festival, a contemporary music event directed by Giovanni Sollima, at the Teatro Machiavelli in Catania in March 2024.
