Born in Beaujolais in France, Hélène Mercier-Balaz grew up in contact with nature and its changing colors with each season. Already very young, she loved sculpting clay or moistened flour to create imaginary characters.
A box of paint was given to her and it was a discovery and a game of mixing colors. Over time she has learned on her own to explore the possibilities of transforming color into expression.
Her painting are adventures; an inner journey, a reverie that she wants to share. They want to be a travel proposal without limit open to an infinity of suggestions.
