‘Tablao’ refers to the wooden stage on which dancers perform, but the term is also used to describe Flamenco artists spontaneously coming together and performing unchoreographed work. Tablao Flamenco is based on this spirit of improvisation and personal, artistic expression and traditional Flamenco styles.
Intense dialogue between the singing, guitar and dancing is one of the characteristics of a tablao. And if the atmosphere is right, magic can happen. Tablao performances are usually held in small, intimate social settings, and are an exclusive opportunity to experience flamenco up-close, in its purest form.
The 4 artists performing Tablao Flamenco in Art Base will be coming together on stage for the first time in this unique encounter.
Join them on this unique journey of on-the-spot creation through traditional Flamenco.
