Lydia Michel (Master of Music) teaches privately at her home studio in Central Antwerp. Having taught piano and music theory privately for over fourteen years as well as class piano at the University of Minnesota School of Music (during her graduate assistantship), Lydia is experienced in teaching levels beginner through advanced. As a performer, she has given recitals and chamber music concerts in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Estonia, Sweden, and the usa. She received her bachelor and masters degree with highest honors in the usa and postgraduate diplomas in solo and chamber music performance in Antwerp, Belgium at the Royal Conservatoire. Her students regularly participate in recitals and competitions as well as receive high marks in the abrsm (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) practical and theory exams. They have also been accepted by collegiate music institutions abroad for further advanced study. Classes are available for 30, 45, and 60 min. Lessons are located in the Gounodstraat.
